IT IS INTENDED TO GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRY THIS APP BEFORE YOU BUY IT.
YOU CAN ENTER 10 RAINFALL ENTRIES ONLY IN THE LITE VERSION OF RAIN LOG.
If you have a rain gauge then this is the app for you!
Rainfall is so simple to record. Just double tap on the calendar date, enter your rainfall on the pop up screen, press save and your done.
APP FEATURES
-iCloud enabled - When enabled, rainfall data can be shared automatically between devices using the same iTunes account.
-Data can be recorded in either mm or inches (amounts can also be converted back and forth between mm/inches)
-When entering rainfall data you can also select a weather image for each date entry.
-Comments can be entered for each day.
-Ability to record rainfall as TRACE amount if it has rained, but it is not enough to measure.
-An easy to read bar graph shows monthly totals.
-Current monthly totals and also averages for Past 2 years and Past 5 years are displayed clearly in columns for easy reference.
-Easily compare current year and previous years Month To Date (MTD) totals and Year To Date (YTD) totals.
-Data can easily be backed up and emailed to yourself. It can then be restored should something happen to your device.
-Backup files are recorded in csv format. This allows for importing the data into a spreadsheet if you want.
Be sure to read the help file when first starting Rain Log. It is the Button on the top left corner of the screen on the iPad and the bottom right of the screen on the iPhone.

Easy to use, great graphs and comparative data from previous years, ability to enter comments. The only thing preventing from 5 stars is no iCloud back up at this time. However, it is in the works and I plan on upgrading to the paid version. There is a lot of rain where we live in OR and it has been fun to track using this app.
Looking for annual rain fall and daily precipitation app. This is essentially a spreadsheet format for you to record your own. I dont get it and it isnt helpful.
Fine and functional, but only allows ten entries. Not really a log more like a fishing reel. I might be hooked however.
With only 10 entries this is nothing more than a tiny sampler for the full version.
The free version will only take 10 entries then lock up. Guess they couldnt come up with advanced features for the paid app.
